Promtfolio (“Promtfolio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an online service that helps users rebuild, edit, publish, and download portfolio websites (the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal data when you visit promtfolio.com, use the Service, communicate with us, connect a third-party service, or otherwise interact with Promtfolio.

1. Personal Data We Collect
The personal data we collect depends on how you interact with the Service.
Information you provide to us
We may collect your email address and account information when you create an account, request that we email you a link or notification, purchase a product, or otherwise use the Service.
If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, the content of your message, the subject of your request, and any portfolio or website link you choose to provide.
We also process information that you submit through AI features, including prompts, chat messages, instructions, and other content you provide when asking Promtfolio to create, rewrite, redesign, or modify your site.
Portfolio and website content
When you provide a URL for an existing portfolio or website, we access and process the content available at that URL in order to provide the Service. This may include text, photographs, images, video, names, contact details, project descriptions, and other information appearing on the submitted website. This information may relate to you or to other individuals appearing in the portfolio or website.
Because Promtfolio does not independently verify ownership of every URL submitted to the Service, a user may submit a website containing personal data relating to another person. If you believe your personal data or content has been imported into Promtfolio without authorization, please contact us at hello@promtfolio.com so that we can review the request and, where appropriate, remove the relevant information.
Information from third-party integrations
If you choose to connect the Service with a third-party platform or service, we may receive information made available through that integration, depending on the service you connect and the permissions you provide.
For example, if you choose to connect a social media account, we may receive account information and content that you choose to import into your Promtfolio site, such as profile information, posts, captions, images, and information required to maintain the connection.
Connecting a third-party service is optional. You can generally disconnect an integration through Promtfolio or through the relevant third-party service. Content that you have already imported may remain as part of your Promtfolio site until you remove that content or delete the site.
Purchase and transaction information
When you make a purchase, we may receive information relating to the transaction, such as the product purchased, transaction or order reference, payment status, and other information necessary to provide the purchased Service and maintain appropriate business records. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Usage and technical information
When you visit or use the Service, we may automatically receive technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, pages or features used, referring information, and information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the Service. We may also use analytics services to understand how the Service is used and performs.
Information from other sources
We may collect limited contact and professional information, such as a name, business email address, website or portfolio information, from publicly available sources, including public websites and web archives, where permitted by applicable law.
2. How We Use Personal Data
We may use personal data to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- import, generate, edit, host, publish, and allow you to download portfolio websites;
- provide AI-powered features requested by you;
- create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
- process and record purchases and provide purchased features or credits;
- send transactional and service-related communications;
- respond to support requests and other communications;
- enable and manage third-party integrations you choose to use;
- detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, and unauthorized or harmful use;
- understand the performance and use of the Service and improve its functionality;
- send marketing communications where you have requested them or where otherwise permitted by applicable law;
- conduct limited business outreach using publicly available professional contact information where permitted by applicable law;
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect our rights and those of others.
We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual for analytics, product development, research, and other legitimate business purposes.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data protection law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing personal data, we may rely on the following:
- Performance of a contract. We process information where necessary to provide the Service you request, including importing and creating your website, maintaining your account, providing purchased features, and responding to service requests.
- Legitimate interests. We may process information where necessary for our legitimate interests, including operating and improving the Service, maintaining security, preventing fraud and misuse, and providing customer support, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Consent. We rely on consent where required, including for certain marketing communications, optional analytics technologies, and certain third-party integrations. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligations. We may process information where necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, tax and accounting requirements, or valid legal requests.
4. AI Processing
Promtfolio uses artificial intelligence to provide certain features of the Service. When you ask Promtfolio to build or modify a website, relevant portfolio content may be processed by third-party AI providers. Depending on the feature used, this may include portfolio text, images, project information, and prompts or chat messages submitted through the Service. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should review generated content before publishing or relying on it.
6. Publicly Published Sites
If you choose to publish your portfolio through Promtfolio, the content you publish may be accessible to the public.
You are solely responsible for deciding what information to include in your published site and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights , consents, and permissions to publish personal data, photographs, images, and other content relating to other people, and that such publication complies with applicable law. Promtfolio does not review or endorse content published by users, has no obligation to do so, and you may not rely on Promtfolio to identify or prevent unlawful or infringing content. Promtfolio may, but is not obligated to, remove content or restrict access to a published site where we reasonably believe it violates applicable law or the rights of others, and any failure to do so shall not relieve you of your responsibilities under this section or create any liability for Promtfolio.
Information made publicly available through your published site may be viewed, copied, indexed, or otherwise accessed by third parties outside Promtfolio's control.
8. International Data Transfers
Promtfolio is operated from Israel and uses service providers that operate internationally. As a result, personal data may be processed in Israel, the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries in which our service providers operate.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer of personal data, we will use appropriate mechanisms, which may include adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain security and appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
The applicable period depends on the type of information, why it was collected, whether you maintain an account or published site, and applicable legal, accounting, tax, security, and technical requirements. Account and site information may be retained while your account or site remains active and for an appropriate period thereafter. Transaction and accounting information may be retained for the period required by applicable law. Where information is retained solely to honor an opt-out or suppression request, we may retain the minimum information necessary to ensure that we do not contact you again.
When personal data is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to reasonable backup and legal-retention requirements.
10. Deleting Your Account or Data
If you have a registered account, you may delete your account using the available account controls.

Where you use a third-party integration, you may also be able to disconnect that integration through Promtfolio or through the relevant third-party service.
We may retain limited information following a deletion request where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, or record-keeping purposes.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply to our processing, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to:
- request access to personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of personal data;
- request restriction of or object to certain processing;
- receive certain personal data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where our processing is based on your consent; and
- object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing.
These rights may be subject to limitations or exceptions under applicable law.

12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.
However, no online service, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Children
Promtfolio is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through accounts or purchases. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.
14. Third-Party Websites ,Links, and Integrations
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, and may allow you to connect to, import content from, export content to, or otherwise interact with third-party platforms and services (“integrations”).
Promtfolio does not control how third parties process personal data when you interact with them independently or through an integration. Their collection and use of personal data for their own purposes is subject to their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party service before visiting it or connecting it to Promtfolio.
Integrations are optional and are enabled at your direction. If you choose to use an integration, information may be exchanged between Promtfolio and the relevant third party as necessary to provide the functionality you request. You can generally stop future exchanges of information by disconnecting the relevant integration. Disconnecting an integration does not necessarily delete information previously transferred to the third party or content that you previously imported into Promtfolio.
This Privacy Policy applies to Promtfolio's processing of personal data and does not replace or govern the privacy practices of third parties.
15. Specific Provisions for U.S. Residents
This section applies to users who reside in the United States. We include it to comply with applicable U.S. state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”). Terms defined under these laws have the same meaning when used here, and with respect to U.S. residents, this section prevails if it conflicts with other parts of this Privacy Policy.
We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 1 (“Personal Data We Collect”), including identifiers (such as name and email address), commercial information (such as purchases), internet and network activity, approximate location derived from IP address or device settings, and inferences drawn from this information. We obtain this information directly from you, from your activity on the Service, and from service providers and the other sources described in this Privacy Policy. We use it for the purposes described in Section 2 (“How We Use Personal Data”), including to provide and improve the Service, support customer service, send marketing communications (where permitted), comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud or misuse.
We share personal information with our service providers and business partners as described in Section 5 (“How We Share Personal Data and Interact with Third Parties”). In the preceding twelve (12) months, Promtfolio has not sold personal information in exchange for money. However, we have engaged third parties that provide services such as analytics, marketing, and user experience, and we allow them to collect limited personal information through the Service. Under the CCPA/CPRA, this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories of personal information that may have been shared for these purposes during the past twelve (12) months include: identifiers (such as account identifiers, online identifiers, and device information); internet or network activity information (such as usage data, browsing behavior, and interactions with the Service); commercial information (such as purchase or transaction history); location data (approximate location derived from IP address or device settings); and inferences drawn from the information above to help improve or personalize the user experience. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
As a U.S. resident, you may have additional rights, including the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, the right to request deletion or correction, the right to request data portability, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. You can exercise these rights by emailing hello@promtfolio.com. We will need to verify your identity (or that of your authorized representative) before fulfilling your request. We generally respond within 45 days, though we may extend this by an additional 45 days if needed, in which case we will notify you. Where applicable, you may also appeal our decision and, if unsatisfied, submit a complaint to your state Attorney General.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: Under U.S. state privacy laws, including the CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to direct us not to “sell” or “share” your personal information. While Promtfolio does not sell personal information in exchange for money, we may allow certain third-party service providers (such as analytics and marketing partners) to collect limited data through the Service, which may be considered “sharing” under these laws. If you are a U.S. resident and wish to exercise your right to opt out of such sharing, you can do so by sending an email request to hello@promtfolio.com.
Do Not Track Settings: California law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575) requires us to explain how we respond to “Do Not Track” signals sent by your browser. At present, we do not respond to Do Not Track settings. “Do Not Track” is a browser preference that allows you to indicate that you do not want your online activity tracked across different websites. 16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or applicable law. The date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last updated. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
